Tomamos o logaritmo natural do limite para simplificar a potência. Seja \(L=\lim_{x\to\infty}(x^2+1)^{1/\ln x}\). Então
\(\ln L\) = \(\lim_{x\to\infty}\frac{\ln(x^2+1)}{\ln x}\).
Escrevemos \(\ln(x^2+1)=2\ln x+\ln\!\big(1+\tfrac{1}{x^2}\big)\). Assim
\(\frac{\ln(x^2+1)}{\ln x}=2+\frac{\ln(1+1/x^2)}{\ln x}\), onde \(\ln(1+1/x^2)\to0\) quando \(x\to\infty\) e \(\ln x\to\infty\), portanto a fração tende a 0.
Logo \(\ln L=2\) e, exponenciando, obtemos \(L=e^2\).
